Melbet Bonus Wagering
Melbet bonus wagering explained for Ghana: what "5× accumulator" and "40× casino" actually mean in practice, and how to calculate whether you will clear the bonus before it expires.
Why wagering exists
A bookmaker that handed out withdrawable cash with no play-through would lose money instantly. Wagering is the amount you have to bet before bonus money becomes real cash that you can withdraw. At Melbet the rules differ between the sports and casino bonuses.
Sports wagering (the default welcome offer)
| Rule | What it means |
|---|---|
| 5× the bonus amount | If you get a ₵ 1,000 bonus, you must place bets totalling ₵ 5,000. |
| Accumulator bets only | Single bets and system bets do not count. |
| At least 3 events per accumulator | Each qualifying bet must have 3+ selections. |
| Each selection odds ≥ 1.40 | Short-priced favourites under 1.40 do not count. |
| 30 days | You must finish wagering within 30 days of receiving the bonus. |
Casino wagering
Casino wagering is typically around 40× the bonus. Different games contribute different percentages:
- Slots: usually 100% of each bet counts.
- Selected table games (blackjack, roulette): often 10% or less.
- Live dealer: often 0%–10%.
- Some slots (usually high-RTP or jackpot games): excluded — listed in the T&Cs.
Worked example for a Ghanaian player
You deposit ₵ 20 with code 8G8G and receive a ₵ 20 sports bonus (100% match). You need to place ₵ 100 in qualifying accumulators before the bonus converts to withdrawable cash. Five accumulators of ₵ 20 each, with three+ selections at odds 1.40+, would clear it.
Is the bonus right for you?
Take it if: (1) you already planned to bet accumulators at odds around 1.40–2.00; (2) you can comfortably clear 5× within 30 days. Skip it if: (1) you only bet singles; (2) you bet casually once a week and may not finish wagering in time; (3) you want to be able to withdraw at any time without conditions.
